024. Paul Glazby & The Narcomaniacs - Acid Disco (D.A.V.E The Drummer Remix)

I last heard this track late on in an uncompromisingly energetic set at Planet Zogg. This was sadly to be my last appearance at the awesome Sheffield night, which aimed, and succeeded, at joining the dots between trance, techno and psy. Since then, I knew I had to have this in the collection. Yet, due to the quality of the production, and presumably a relatively small pressing, the prices this has been traded online for have been ridiculous. Only recently did I spot it at reasonable price.

Dave The Drummer has an ability to squeeze more than anyone could think possible from the 303, and this track is one of the synth’s finest moments. This is not a pretty record. This is not a happy record. This is a record which will grab you by the scruff of your neck and throw you onto the dance floor whether you want to be there or not.
